An in-patient is someone who’s been formally admitted to a hospital for medical treatment, staying in a hospital bed for at least one night. Health insurance plans are typically divided into in-patient plans and comprehensive plans.

Life insurance helps you to safeguard your family's financial future should you pass away. You'll leave behind a cash lump-sum to help maintain your family's standard of living or to pay off a mortgage or debt. While domestic life insurance might not cover you if you die abroad, with international life insurance you’ll be covered around the world.
You can insure your life for any amount up to US$2m or £1.5m or €1.7m. This is the amount your beneficiaries would receive if you passed away. The sum you insure cannot exceed 20x your current annual earnings.
With the optional accident benefit, your family will receive an additional cash lump-sum if your death is caused by an accident. If you suffer a serious injury in an accident, we'll pay the cash lump- sum directly to you.
The accident benefit is only available if you also purchase life insurance. You can purchase accident cover up to US$500k or £375k or €500k, but the sum you insure cannot exceed your life benefit.
An income protection plan pays you a replacement income if you’re unable to work because of illness or injury.
You can insure up to 75% of your annual salary, up to a maximum of US$144k or £108k or €144k. This is the replacement income we’ll pay you if you’re unable to work because of illness or injury.
Payment of your replacement income starts after your deferment period. You can choose a deferment period of 3 months or 6 months. Premiums are higher with a 3-month deferment period, because payment of your replacement income starts sooner.

Our plans are designed for expats (eg a British national living in Hong Kong, a French national living in Brazil). Typically, our members are permanently resident in a foreign country. But we can sometimes insure people who expect to spend at least 6 months of the year living or travelling abroad. In certain countries, we can cover people living in their country of nationality.
Your country of nationality is the country stated on your passport (eg United States, Netherlands). If you have dual nationality, you can choose whichever nationality you prefer. We can insure people of every nationality!
